Korea

As you might know Ben has been doing quite a bit of traveling since we've moved to CA. Most of his trips have taken him to Korea. When he's not passing out in cars, he's busy overseeing the testing of engines at a factory ;-) I'm trying to get him to do a post on Korea- maybe in the new year? Hint hint Benny!!

Christmas Fun!!

My mom and Aunt Kelly came to visit us last week, we got to show them around for a few days! We had a great time. It's always fun when we have family in town, because we get to play tourist in our own city! There were a lot of holiday festivities happening when they were here so we took full advantage!

Ben and I are big fans of any excuse to drink or eat, Hillcrest Taste and Tinis as well as Toast of Downtown gave us just the reason to do so! We tried out several new restaurants- and found a few new favorites!

Not sure where this came from but it makes me laugh!

Toy Ride

Every year a local 3rd grade class donates a bunch of toys to children in need and the group we ride with picks up the toys! It's a fun morning! After the toys are picked up, the kids crawl all over the bikes and get their pictures taken. They had a blast, and it was super fun for us too!

Rigging Up The Lights (And Finding a Christmas Tree)

This is what picking a tree looks like in SoCal! Not nearly as fun as cutting down a tree, but certainly warmer!

My favorite new ornament

Leftover bows from the tree turned into front door decor!

Thanksgiving

We hosted Friendsgiving at our house- everyone was from the east coast! It was quite different from most of our Thanksgivings in the past. We were all in shorts, and sweating but we had a great dinner outside at the awesome farmhouse table Ben made for us.

Weekend

This past weekend we hiked Cowles Mountain, which is the highest point in the city of San Diego. The hike was about 3 miles round trip, and boy did I feel it. Ben on the other hand was running circles around me...I guess that's what happens when you're doing cardio on regular basis! The views at the top were really pretty, definitely worth it!

Smores!

We had a blast going out for Halloween! I have always loved Halloween, and once I knew Ben was going to be home from Korea I got even more excited! Thankfully DeNea came up with this awesome idea for a costume...which really is the whole reason behind this friendship! The first night we all hung out together the boys made s'mores together on a grill, and ever since then s'mores has been our thing.

We almost had a partial s'more due to Bens flight back from South Korea being delayed, but he made it and our costume was complete!

The best costume EVER!

And just because this is too good not to share!

Palm Springs!

We headed out to Palm Springs in October for DeNeas Birthday/ a little anniversary getaway. We had a blast out there! It was HOT but since we were in the pool the majority of the days it didn't bother us too much! The views were stunning!
