Trip to the DMV

It might have taken me three times to pass the written part of the CA drivers test but I did it! And then we celebrated with drinks at a sketchy bar in Hillcrest :) Ben swore he was going to fail, but sure enough he passed BOTH tests (motorcycle and car) on the first try. He's so smart ;-)

Multiple failures

You could only get 6 questions wrong, I got 7 wrong twice and then 3 the last time!

Officially licensed drivers in CA- watch out!

Cottage Living

We are SO excited to be in our own apartment and have all of our own things again. Although, not having our own things made us realize we really don't need as much as we thought we did. We're in the process of getting rid of a lot of items that we just don't need!

Here is a little tour of the cottage (as Ben calls it) without any furniture in it. We moved in a week ago today and have made a decent amount of progress. Hopefully after this weekend we'll be able to share some pictures of what it looks like now. We are hoping to get a couch this weekend as we have our first visitor coming in just a few short days! YAY Bryan! We can't wait to have you :)

Sea World

My friend from college is a performer at one of the shows at Sea World. Ben and I went to go see her this past weekend, and after the show we walked around the rest of the park. Thanks Stacy!

Nightly walks

We've been trying to get into a routine of taking walks around the city after dinner. Last night we headed to Seaport Village and took advantage of the beautiful night.

First Weekend in SD :)

Before we moved out to SD, we purchased tickets to Craft Beer & Bites which just so happened to be in our neighborhood. We got really lucky with the location of our corporate housing. We're a few blocks away from the Gaslamp District, and Balboa park which basically has anything and everything you could ask for!

We sampled beer and food from 20 different restaurants in San Diego- we have a long list of places to visit! Ben was adventurous and tried chicken hearts at one of the vendors!

We asked a woman to take a picture of us and she got very into taking the perfect picture, she took the following two :)

Sunday we hopped on the bus and headed to Coronado for a couple hours.We walked around the grounds of the Hotel Del and sat on the beach for a bit. Ben has coined a new phrase "it's San Diego out" meaning it's the perfect temperature :) Today was very San Diego out!
